The upstate is pretty much home. I wasn't born here, but the family moved to Greenville 40 years ago when Dad took a job in the textile business. Went to J. L. Mann High, then saw my daughter graduate from the same school. I started in the radio business after one semester of college, which I found out was too hard. (College, not this!) I was lucky to get started here at WESC 30 years ago, and haven't found anything else I really wanted to do more. And I like the things we have on WESC ... I do like country music, I do like racing, I just don't like getting up at 3 am.
Faith Hill will be premiering her new song, "American Heart," which she says is about what it means to be an American in 2012. She'll reveal the whole song on Twitter on Sunday at 7:00 p.m., but she's given fans a sneak peek:
