The upstate is pretty much home. I wasn't born here, but the family moved to Greenville 40 years ago when Dad took a job in the textile business. Went to J. L. Mann High, then saw my daughter graduate from the same school. I started in the radio business after one semester of college, which I found out was too hard. (College, not this!) I was lucky to get started here at WESC 30 years ago, and haven't found anything else I really wanted to do more. And I like the things we have on WESC ... I do like country music, I do like racing, I just don't like getting up at 3 am.
This is video of a wedding reception at a hotel in Philly this weekend. Words were exchanged at the lobby bar, ("There was an issue with a lot of alcohol fueling the fight," said police spokesman Lt. Ray Evers) one thing led to another, and the happy day turned into a brawl. The commentary from the guy filming the melee is priceless. At the enmd he says in an astonished voice, “they just decked the bride.”
