It's almost Halloween, so it seems to be an appropriate time to check the annual list of "Top Earning Dead Celebrities."  Here's the lowdown (pun intended) from the Associated Press...

NEW YORK (AP) — Michael Jackson is no longer the top-earning dead celebrity. Elizabeth Taylor has replaced him on top of the annual Forbes list. Taylor's estate raked in $210 million dollars in the past year. Most of the money came from auctions of her jewels, clothes, artwork and memorabilia. Jackson slips to second with $145 million. Elvis is third, with $55 million, followed by Charles Schulz and Bob Marley who are tied with $17 million. John Lennon's $12 million is good enough for sixth place. Marilyn Monroe is tied with Albert Einstein with $10 million. Dr. Seuss is in ninth place with $9 million. Steve McQueen and Bettie Page are tied for 10th with $8 million. Richard Rogers earned $6 million, a half million more than George Harrison.
