The upstate is pretty much home. I wasn't born here, but the family moved to Greenville 40 years ago when Dad took a job in the textile business. Went to J. L. Mann High, then saw my daughter graduate from the same school. I started in the radio business after one semester of college, which I found out was too hard. (College, not this!) I was lucky to get started here at WESC 30 years ago, and haven't found anything else I really wanted to do more. And I like the things we have on WESC ... I do like country music, I do like racing, I just don't like getting up at 3 am.
Kind of a salacious tease, wasn't it! It's nothing like that. She just won't record a Christmas album. Not that she has any problem with the season, she's just had enough of the music, bless her heart! Here's the story from the Associated Press
UNDATED (AP) — Miranda Lambert says she will "never" record a Christmas album. And fans can blame it on husband Blake Shelton. Lambert told Country Weekly that her husband wears her out with holiday tunes. She says "he listens to Christmas music all year round." As much as she loves Christmas and Christmas music, Lambert says "he does enough for both" of them.
