The upstate is pretty much home. I wasn't born here, but the family moved to Greenville 40 years ago when Dad took a job in the textile business. Went to J. L. Mann High, then saw my daughter graduate from the same school. I started in the radio business after one semester of college, which I found out was too hard. (College, not this!) I was lucky to get started here at WESC 30 years ago, and haven't found anything else I really wanted to do more. And I like the things we have on WESC ... I do like country music, I do like racing, I just don't like getting up at 3 am.
At the end of every race season, Tony Stewart puts is tongue firmly in cheek and announces his "Stewie Awards," commemorating special events from the year. Like the Bonehead Move Of The Year (Danica Patrick), and the Boys Have At It award. Mash right here to see the full list, as well as hear Carl Edwards April Fools joke on his crew chief!
