The upstate is pretty much home. I wasn't born here, but the family moved to Greenville 40 years ago when Dad took a job in the textile business. Went to J. L. Mann High, then saw my daughter graduate from the same school. I started in the radio business after one semester of college, which I found out was too hard. (College, not this!) I was lucky to get started here at WESC 30 years ago, and haven't found anything else I really wanted to do more. And I like the things we have on WESC ... I do like country music, I do like racing, I just don't like getting up at 3 am.
This is one of the greatest moments in the history of football! Jack Hoffman is a seven year old boy who loves Nebraska football. He's dealing with brain cancer, and the team has unofficially adopted him. This weekend, at the Nebraska spring game, Jack donned the Cornhuskers uniform and got in for a play. Watch him run for a touchdown, as more than 60,000 fans roar their approval!
