The upstate is pretty much home. I wasn't born here, but the family moved to Greenville 40 years ago when Dad took a job in the textile business. Went to J. L. Mann High, then saw my daughter graduate from the same school. I started in the radio business after one semester of college, which I found out was too hard. (College, not this!) I was lucky to get started here at WESC 30 years ago, and haven't found anything else I really wanted to do more. And I like the things we have on WESC ... I do like country music, I do like racing, I just don't like getting up at 3 am.
NFL pre-season games are held to allow the teams to practice and get ready for the season. Turns out they also help the TV announcers get ready too! Watch as Fox Sports' sideline reporter Pam Oliver gets hit in the side of the head with a football. That's a mistake they can correct before the games count!
