One thing I dislike about the holidays is looking back over the previous year and being reminded of people who have passed on. They might be entertainers, world leaders, or someone who was a name for just a brief period in our lives.
Today, Norman Schwarzkopf passed away. Known for his temper, he was nicknamed "Stormin' Norman." He led the U. S. A.'s attack of Kuwait which was known as Desert Storm.
I remember very well where I was when it was announced to the world that we had invaded Iraq and Kuwait. I was at the Silver Fox which was on Wade Hampton Boulevard as part of a promotional appearance.
The Silver Fox is gone and now is a field of weeds. I'd be curious to know where you were when we invaded Kuwait with Norman Schwarzkopf leading our troops? Comment below.
