I may surprise you one night with one of YOUR
"All Time Favorites!"
I couldn't help but wonder today if we spend more time talking about things that aren't important, and not enough time talking about the things that are important.
You might remember all the talk after the Alabama-Notre Dame game when Brent Musburger was extremely complimentary of the former Miss Alabama USA, Katherine Webb. All of the talk shows went on and on with talking heads making comments laced with feelings from surprise to outrage.
Well, last night Brent Musburger signed off his college basketball broadcast by commenting that one of his colleagues on the broadcast, Holly Rowe was "smokin' hot tonight." I tend to believe that he was thumbing his nose at all the media attention he received from his comments in the National Championship football game.
I guess my point is that hours of airtime both on radio and TV have been devoted to this. In the scheme of life, is it really that important? Even the former Miss Alabama said she wasn't offended in the least by Brent's comments. Why don't we just move on then? I guess it's the world we live in. Your thoughts welcome below.
