Each Sunday afternoon I get myself ready for some football! I snag a cold beer, an oversized bag of popcorn, my handy TV remote and prepare for battle. My wife (god bless her soul) leaves me to my devices as I hunker down in my man cave, crank the volume to 10 and proceed to raise hell as the imaginary coach of my favorite team.
I encourage my players (at full volume), repremand the zebras for any and all penalties against my team (as there should be none), bark responses at the TV annoucers and otherwise make a hell of a ruckus for three to six hours.
I even save a few choice words for the unsung heros of the day... That's right... The cheerleaders! Things like "ohhhh" and "Good LAWD" or "You go girl.." come to mind. But hey, I'm the coach! I recognize every team member on and off the field! THAT'S MY JOB!
After all, these lovely woman risk life and limb on the sidelines of NFL fields across Amercia each Sunday making sure the crowds remember to cheer for their team!! That's a very important job in my opinion!
So here's to you ladies of the grid iron! Keep up the solid work! I'll see you next Sunday for another great game! ;-)
